Based in New York City, Bryce Cox is a 22-year-old flutist currently pursuing her Master of Music in Classical Flute Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, where she studies with Professor Linda Chesis. She is also the founder and executive director of Musicians for Progress, a growing non-profit based in NYC and dedicated to creating socio-political change through classical and contemporary music.
Bryce most recently performed with the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra under the direction of Benjamin Zander, where she played both flute and piccolo, and accompanied the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra on their tour of Mexico during the summer of 2025. Bryce has also regularly subbed with the Brookline Symphony Orchestra and various other groups in the Greater Boston area, including the New England Philharmonic.

Bryce was recently a finalist in the Boston University at Carnegie Hall Soloist Competition, and was a finalist in the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra Youth Instrumentalists Competition in 2022. She has been involved in summer festivals such as Orford Musique, the Aria International Summer Festival, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. Bryce has performed in numerous masterclasses, most notably with Cynthia Meyers, Linda Chesis, Alexa Still, Molly Barth, and Jonathan Keeble.

Bryce holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Woodwind Performance from Boston University, where she studied with Professor Linda Toote. In addition to her major, she graduated with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Bryce has previously studied with Dr. Pauline Jung and Dr. Barbara Hopkins.Outside of performing, Bryce is also an active writer, and has a special interest in interdisciplinary art and studies.
Outside of performing, Bryce is a teacher with the nonprofit Through the Staff, and was an arts administration intern with the Ojai Music Festival in 2022. She is also an active writer, and has a special interest in interdisciplinary art and studies.
